On This Day: awards for Dmitry Kulagin and Edgars Ulanovas

VTB United League continues On This Day special.

On April 25, 2014, the best young players of 2013/14 regular season were named. Triumph’s guard Dmitry Kulagin and Neptunas’ forward Edgaras Ulanovas won the award.

Dmitry Kulagin played 17 regular season games with average on 8.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 8.3 efficiency points. Kulagin’s Triumph advanced to the playoffs from the third place in group B.

Edgaras Ulanovas played all 18 games averaging 9.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 11.5 efficiency points. Neptunas didn’t qualify to the playoffs with the 8th place in group B.

Other candidates for young player award were Nymburk center Rashid Makhalbasic, VEF center Derrick Nix, and Azovmash center Kirill Natyazhko.
