Ojars Silins and Devyn Marble join Astana

Astana announced two signings: Devyn Marble (28, 198 cm) and Ojars Silins (27, 203 cm). Kazakh club announced their transfer campaign was completed.

In 2014, Devyn Marble was picked by Denver at NBA draft, later transferred to Orlando where he started professional career. The forward played 44 NBA games (7 in starting five). In 2016, Marble came to Europe and spent 3 seasons in Greek and Italian leagues.

Marble started 2019/20 season in G-League with Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State’s farm club. In mid-season, the forward came back to Italy and joined Virtus. His Eurocup record was 3 games with 5 points and 4 rebounds.

Ojars Silins has had his entire professional career in Europe. In 2012, he made his debut with Reggiana (Italy) and later won FIBA Eurochallenge (2014) and Italian Supercup (2015). Later, the Latvian played for 4 other Italian clubs: Trento, Triest, Avellino and Brescia. In mid-2019/20 season, he moved to Dunkerque, but had only 2 games before season termination.
