In the end, it wasn’t even close. PARMA held VEF to 11 points in the opening period, seizing a 13-point lead. The advantage grew to 16 by halftime, 49-33, and the home team would cruise to victory in the second half.

PARMA improves to 2-6, while visiting Riga drops to 1-6.

Quotes
PARMA head coach Nikolajs Mazurs:
– I’ll be very short. I want to congratulate and thank all the fans, as well as the entire team and staff on our first home win in the VTB League. I think this won’t be the last victory at the Molot. I want to give the guys credit: They gave excellent effort and focus and demonstrated their best qualities.

VEF head coach Janis Gailitis:
– We played poorly, then very poorly. The end was disgusting. Some of the players don’t deserve to compete in the VTB League with their approach to the game. Congratulations to PARMA on a deserved win.
