Life After Vacation: Training Camp Updates From Around The League

Summer is over and with it the VTB United League offseason. It’s less than a month until the start of the 2018-19 season and clubs are already busy at training camp.

The reigning champions are making sure to have a little fun. CSKA, which brings back nearly the entire championship roster, has spent most of its time in the gym:

But the weekend is a chance to get some fresh air. At the end of August, for example, the club organized a youth street ball tournament.

Khimki lost several key players, but quickly brought in new talent over the summer. The team has a month and a half to get acquainted and build chemistry:

Loko’s players also visited the doctor. There were a few hiccups, including this makeshift attempt to record new center Moustapha Fall’s height.

The Frenchman has been a media star from day one in Krasnodar, taking on club mascot Zubastik in a game of one-on-one:

Nizhny Novgorod also held media day. Judging by the video, everyone is in a good mood before the start of the season:

VEF Riga, which will celebrate 60 years this season, is already in fighting form:

PARMA isn’t celebrating any anniversaries, but it looks like they had the same idea for a team-building exercise:

Enisey Krasnoyarsk started a vlog series this season, where they will give you an inside look at the team: from practices to player interviews:

Kalev started practice in mid-August, but forward Ivan Almeida signed his contract a bit later, which meant doing his physical on his own:
