Story
CSKA left no doubt in the season finale, running up a 26-point first-half lead en route to a dominant win in Perm.

Semyon Antonov led the way with 18 points as the Army Men dished out 36 points and shot an unfathomable 70% from the field, including 85% from inside the arc (24-28).

PARMA was eliminated from postseason contention earlier in the week and never had a chance against a highly-motivated, rested CSKA squad.

Star point guard Codi Miller-McIntyre struggled against Moscow’s defense, scoring only five points on 2-10 shooting.

Frank Gaines was the lone bright spot, dropping a game-high 26, but it wasn’t nearly enough. The home team shot only 36% from the field and committed 19 turnovers in the defeat.

With the victory, CSKA finishes the regular season tied with UNICS for 1st place (22-2), but earns the top seed in the postseason thanks to a superior head-to-head record vs. Kazan.

The Army Men’s first-round opponent depends on the outcome of the Zenit – Tsmoki-Minsk game in St. Petersburg.

PARMA drops to 7-17, tied for 10th place. Despite missing the postseason, the Siberian club improved dramatically on last season’s 1-23 mark.

Magic Moment

Stat
85% – There were a lot of incredible stats in this game, but none more impressive than CSKA shooting 24-28 from inside the arc and setting a new League record for two-point field-goal percentage. CSKA held the old record of 83%, set vs. Dnipro in 2010.

Quotes
PARMA head coach Nikolajs Mazurs:
– There’s not much to say about a game like this. CSKA played well, plus we lost several players right before the game because of sickness.

I want to express my deep gratitude to our fans for supporting us all season and traveling everywhere we played. It’s a great feeling for an athlete and anyone.

CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis:
– Congratulations to my team on another win and the end of the regular season. We respect our opponents in the VTB League, the competition and our place in the standings, which is why this was a very important game for us. As for the game, it’s always tough to play in this type of atmosphere. Congratulations to PARMA on their incredible fans. Second, we managed to take Miller-McIntyre out of the game. He does a lot of the scoring and playmaking and drives the tempo on offense for our opponent. Our entire team was very focused and everyone who played showed incredible effort.
