Story
Six different players scored in double figures and everyone scored as CSKA strolled to a 108-71 win in the Russian capital. The home team broke the game open in the 3rd quarter, extending a 10-point lead at halftime to 25 and went on to win by 35.

Enisey kept it respectable in the first half. Denis Zakharov’s buzzer-beater to end the 2nd quarter made it a 10-point game entering the break as the visitors limited CSKA to 19 points in the period.

Zakharov scored 10 in the 2nd quarter to keep Krasnoyarsk within striking distance. But CSKA’s defense–Enisey committed 23 turnovers–and a 31-35 performance at the free-throw line were too much to overcome.

Leo Westermann led Moscow’s offense with 15 points, while Othello Hunter contributed 12 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Neither team shot the ball well from beyond the arc: CSKA went 5-15, while Enisey finished 7-25. The Army Men, however, made 19 extra free throws and shot better than 50% from the field to seal the win.

Stat
12 – CSKA had 12 men play at least 12 minutes, with every player scoring a minimum of four points. That’s teamwork.

Quotes
CSKA head coach Dimitris Itoudis:
– Congratulations to the team on the win. We were serious today, like always. We tried to use a big rotation and spread out the playing time. Vitaly spent the most time on the court today – 21:42. With all respect to Enisey, we dominated throughout the entire game.

Enisey head coach Oleg Okulov:
– CSKA deserved to win. I think even if everyone was healthy – and we were missing three starters today – it would be tough to beat CSKA. Some guys played really hard, others didn’t have their best games. We probably could have played better, but the talent level on the opposing team is much higher. The general impression from the game was not very good. It’s a good thing many participants in the game were able to avoid injury. I hope this helps CSKA. I wish them luck in the EuroLeague.
