«Budivelnik» Kiev, Ukraine vs. «Khimki» Khimki, Russia

The current champion of VTB United League «Khimki» has gained a victory in Kiev over «Budivelnik».

Three of the four matches in this tournament «Khimki» played as visitors - and all three times brought the game to win having big difference. However, the next game Moscow Region club will hold after the New Year – on January, 12 in Kaunas against «Zalgiris». And now «Khimki» is waiting for six games at home arena.

In the first half of the game «Budivelnik» showed a serious resistance to champions. For 15 minutes the home team struggled with the Russian club head to head, scoring regularly. However after the big break «Khimki» started the game with powerful jerk «11:0», after which «Budivelnik» couldn't find their game. On this interval the first points scored forward of «Khimki» Matthew Nielsen, who missed the start of the season due to injury. One more remarkable fact: all 12 players of Khimki team gained points. Thus, «Khimki» gained a good form and won a fourth victory in VTB United League championship.
