    Triumphant win in Minsk

    In the fourth week of the regular season, Russian Triumph confidently dispatched Belorussian Tsmoki-Minsk on the road, 85-62. The home team couldn’t get in a rhythm, going down to their fourth loss of the season.

    The story
    From the very start, the visitors proved their superiority by taking a comfortable 9-point lead in the first quarter. Every attempt to come back proved in vain for Tsmoki. In the second quarter, the Russian team played even better defense, while Sergey Karasev and Yuval Naimy punished the opposition with three accurate shots from beyond the arc. Heading into halftime, Triumph led by 17 points.

    The conclusion
    Halftime didn’t help the home team. In the third quarter they made even more mistakes. Jajuan Smith and company tried to cut their deficit with three-pointers, but only hurt the cause even more. Vasily Karasev’s men took advantage of Tsmoki’s blunders and dominated the third quarter 25-10. Their advantage an impressive +32, the final ten minutes of the game proved only a formality. Triumph won on the road, 85-62.

    Yuval Naimy. The Israeli guard took care of business in his 22 minutes on the court, proving once again his deadly accuracy – 23 points, largely thanks to 5-6 three-point shooting.

    28 – the home side’s number of three-point attempts. Tsmoki-Minsk matched the mark achieved by Nymburk and CSKA in the young season. Unfortunately for the hosts, they only converted 7 attempts.
